IV. Reg. Indep.: Minority Groups Can Dream Big, too!

The great feature of Regional Independence is that any minority group can become independent from the larger region in which it's situated through the process of declaring its sub-area an independent republic.  The feasibility study will reveal the potential of the sub-region to maintain an independent status.  And, the regional referendum within its boundaries will demonstrate a people's commitment to making the principles behind the new regional government to work for them.  There need no delay in establishing the cultural base and political ties to a particular minority-group's lifestyle. The rub is getting nations already in existence to recognize the newly formed republic.  I believe appealing to powerful and rich nations around it will be a useful ploy to secure a lasting acceptance as neighbor and partner in trade and commerce; not to forget aligning itself with military organizations of prominence in its district. SO, LET'S SEE WHAT YOU'RE BIG DREAM IS M...

III. Reg. Indep: UK Gov during Brexit

When such hard-hitting questions as who to trade with and what to trade come up it is natural to experience internal disagreements over policy.  That during Brexit, the UK government is divided bespeaks the chaos wrought  in seizing independence as its freedom! The focus must be clear during the transition: remind yourself, UK, what will this self-force of independence propel you into--namely, an unknown, dynamically changing new situations of unlimited possibility? F orget the past of constriction and ennui in order to accept your new responsibilities; and get ready for whate'r befalls!  Remember, independence is a creative self-driving force, bringing untold satisfaction and an ever-increasing self-awareness of your mission among the nations of the world.  ONWARD!  Perhaps, I am in somewhat of agreement with Nigel Farage of the EU Parliament that Brexit is a dream that does not become reality until the break happens and UK is truly...

II. Reg Indep: Creative Force of Independence

That a government seeks recognition to join the international community of nations and governments recognized by such agencies as the United Nations has unleashed an enormous force onto the world scene whereby some other nations are bound to react.  A government that has gained the vote of its people to proceed to take on the responsibilities involved in becoming an independent, responsible agent on behalf of the will of its citizenry through popular referendum, will no doubt, incur the wrath and indignation of some interested states already in existence affected by this monumental proclamation of the new state.  The heralding could lead to civil war (as in the case of Georgia) or it could simply be accepted (as apparently in the case of UK leaving EU). Nevertheless, there will be hard feelings, to be sure.  Attachments will be severed; and a mild earthquake will be felt!  But, things have a way of working themselves into a new situation for all concerned, especial...

I. Reg Indep: The Model State of an Independent Georgia

Since this topic is taking hold across the globe, I shall attempt to address the various efforts to establish regional independence republics  as they unfold.  No point to present an ad hoc approach that fails to note the manifold manifestations of the phenomenon prior to their historical development.  Meaning, I shall jump into the topic in the midst of  governments and political groups plunging into making sure their hopes to establish a regionally independent state are met with success.      First off, then, let's look at what I take to be a singular model of success in the course of over 20 years in which independent republics have been established since the demise of the Soviet Union in the late 1980s: The Independent State of Georgia.  Be it known the constitution of what was then called The Russian Confederation of    Independent States was adjusted to fit the political reality of a domineering Russia amid a ...

Intro-4: Regional Independence TODAY!

At the risk of being haste in judgment, I think the issue of regional independence boils down to getting cooperation among nations and countries involved in providing opportunities to regional governments or groups to decide whether independence is a viable and feasible course of action they should take. Look at Barcelona (I've cited this current example elsewhere in my writings) today.  It has sought an independence for its region from Spain; and Spain's reaction (totally understandable)  is to shout "Revolution! Rebellion!"  But surely there is a reasonable way to approach the subject of that region's becoming independent. Intuitively Appropriate Steps for a region's independence from any other's control, including some national government Here the United Nations could be instrumental in setting forth guidelines for a feasibility study and a subsequent referendum and such procedures in general that should be followed to declare a region's indepe...

Intro-3 The American Experience establishing Independence

Those politicians in Russian Empire in the late 1980s calling for the end of the Empire--because of its financial and social liabilities--were not war-mongers, in my opinion.  They simply reasoned the Empire was not viable and needed to evolve into something other.      The model that intrigued them was the historical account of the US thrust into independence.  They discerned that the Americans could form into regional units called states; and the entire country of states be called "The United States."  At first the States were coalesced into a federation of states, then because of financial problems, were more strongly held together in the more traditional top-down structure: the President, a representative Congress and an independent federal judiciary the three body-supremes.  But what of the state organization, each state having the same functions at the state level as at the national level?  That thorny question has never been ...

Intro-2: Who is the Independent Person?

Clearly, the decision-maker; and an independent nation is one who acts on its own, as its own agent, willing to accept the benefits and liabilities of being free.  Specifically, it does not submit to the pressures of its neighbors or some powerful nation to do their bidding, but weighs the facts in accord with its own reasoning and dedications to principle.  It does not say for instance, "Russia wants our nation to produce XX amount of  wheat, therefore, we must do it!" There is a negotiation process, whereby the  country agrees contractually to a certain amount, understanding its own situation better than some other nation.       Where there's common interests and shared values there's room for peoples to come together while yet preserving each's own independence and ways of thinking and doing things. See Paradigm 2: The Marriage break-up once again.  Both spouses are re-claiming their independence from the marriage situatio...
